BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

Bearings and Great circle distances to Swordland and Upton Wold, Declination lines for 16 April, 28 April and 14 Oct for DOB and of marriage. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10 and 5 min marks. Split Noon line. Uses XII & IV. Numerals viewed from outside chapter ring. Three-dot inward half hour markers. Lat/maker; Long/Date and crests in corners. Gnomon supporter pierced with CS. Double ’V’ nodus. Chamfered edge to dialplate. No pedestal at time of recording.
