BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ipswich Museum, Ipswich

Motto reads: "Why stand ye here idle time passes while you look". Shows 5am to 10am in half and quarter hours. Inward pointing half hour markers end in fleurs de lys. Uses IV. Hour lines drawn to rectangle around gnomon root. Black lettering and lines on board. Gnomon missing. Now high up in Tudor gallery of Museum. Original owner was William Smart. Date late 16c or early 17c. Also refer to SRN 4584 which was fixed at an angle of 270 degs to this dial. Dial discovered under a later one when building demolished.
