BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

The inscription reads: "This sundial was erected in memory of Michael David Agnew Evans, killed on active service in the Middle East 27th December 1942". The dial is engraved like a clock face and is an ornament only, not a sundial; in addition the gnomon faces south and hence throws no useful shadow. White infilled letters and lines on what looks like a blue ground. Mounted on pedestal with square capital.
