BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire
The dial is near the south wall of the church. An inscription reads: "To the Parish of *** 1748". Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. 15 min marks are only in a separate ring. Uses XII and IIII. No split noon line. Numerals, inscription and date read from inside the chapter ring. Outward radiating three ball half hour markers except for 4:30am and 7:30 pm which point inwards. Sunface is centred on root of the bent gnomon not on dial centre and has what (wrongly) appear to be compass-like points radiating out. Other circles have intermediate offsets from gnomon root to dial centre. Open triangular gnomon with one sided saddle support to dialplate has odd inner arc and sector decoration at its base. Mounted on square section sandstone pedestal 1125h with square capital and two step base. A plaque at the base notes restoration to celebrate the Millennium.
