BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Stirling Highland Hotel, Stirling

The motto reads: "I only count the Sunny Hours". Seven monthly seasonal declination lines with names for ’Shortest Day’, ’Equator’, ’Longest Day’. Sun rise and sunset scales against these. Roman (Greenwich Apparent Time) and Arabic (Local Apparent Time) numerals. EoT scale across the bottom for every two days of year. Split substyle. Solid square section gnomon, surface mounted. Shows 9am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5min marks (LAT scale) and in 1 min marks on GAT scale. Peck was City Astronomer. Dial gift of Lawrence Pullar.
