BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Globe Theatre, Southwark

The dials are visible from New Globe Walk. Both radiate from a central circular grey disc (650 diam) edged in gold. The south dial declines west. Black iron hour lines on the brick wall are for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6pm, 2pm and 6pm lines are numbered with white Arabic numerals and the 5pm line has an iron animal décor attached. The gnomon has two supporters. The west dial declines north and has hour lines for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8pm and half hour lines outside these for 2.30 and 8.30pm. Two iron mystical creatures (Lion & Unicorn on the west dial and a Jester on the south) adorn the gnomons.
