BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Memorial dial with three declination lines for three significant dates, each inscribed with relevant years. Other symbols. Maker’s name, Lat/Long and Date. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30,15, 10 and 5 min marks. Uses XII and IV. Split Noon line. Numerals read from outside the chapter ring. Hour lines pass through numerals. Half hours marked by inward lines ending in clover pattern. Gnomon pierced with initials of owner. Dial is rotated by 17 degrees from the ordinary alignment on the dialplate to accommodate the garden layout.
