BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Motto reads: "Our Science is from the watching of shadows" (Ezra Pound, Canto 85). Modelled on Benjamin Scott’s design in the Paris Museum of Scientific Instruments, using Oughtred’s stereographic projection. Days marked on ecliptic, declination/date scale around horizon circle. EoT table as arc around vertical style. Lat/Lon, Long corrected. Sheaf and Plough décor. Maker’s name and Date. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10 and 5 min marks. Half hours by marks in Chapter ring. Uses XII and IV. Split Noon. Different colour infills.
