BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Staffordshire

The dial is mounted in a dirty decorative stone frame on the south brick wall. It shows 9am to 6pm with 30 and 10 minute marks, using XII and IIII but with no split substyle line. The gnomon is of triangular section with the top edge throwing the shadow, and has a finger effect end.
