BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Court Farm, Clovelly

On the porch is a vertical dial of stone which declines 26° west and shows the hours VIII-VII divided into halves and quarters Below the dial plate a panel carries the motto ’Lex Dei Lux diei’ (The Law of God is the Light of Day)and a Latin inscription telling us that in 1924 Christine Hamlyn restored the house as a secure home.
