BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

14 Village Road, Higher Bebington

The date of 1705 on this ornate bronzed dial is tempting but unconfirmed and the dial may be a replica. It is mounted above the front door of the house and bears an exhilarating representation of Britannia with two horses in relief above the semi-circular dial plate.
