BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St David’s Church, Much Dewchurch

Sundials on church porches abound but here there is simply a noon-mark. The gnomon is a disc supported by iron rods and has a central hole through which a spot of light is cast on to a vertical line (or an analemma for complete accuracy). However, no trace remains of this line. The device may be a declining one. In its heyday this device could have been used to regulate the church clock. The whole structure is about 1000mm across.
