BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Children’s play area, Holybourne

Human analemmatic dial with a time capsule commemorating the Millennium. The dial consists of 15 circular hour markers and a date scale let into the grass of the play area so that it can be mown. 1pm is shown when the sun is due south, so the dial approximates to BST. Many modern dials do this, on the basis that they are read far more often in summer than in winter. The hour markers are 260mm diameter cast concrete discs with animal scenes drawn (and mostly named) on them and household brass door numerals screwed in place. On the date scale, months are marked by three letter abbreviations. A motto reads: "Time Flies use it well". An inscription reads: "2000 AD BST Holybourne" and a plaque gives instructions for use. A time capsule was buried under the dial.
