BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Heavily covered in verdigris. Shows 4am to 8pm in half hours. Half hours marked by stars. Uses Cross for noon and III. Numerals read from inside the chapter ring. Thin triangular sheet gnomon with elaborately shaped and scalloped back edge. Strange use of stars in area to South of gnomon and in the central dial area. Four hole fixing. Dial offset on capital of old broken square section stone pedestal with parallelopiped capital and square base. An important early dial, late 16c to early 17c.
