BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial is over the entrance, with the top of the dial plate curved to fit into the Dutch type gable. It is fixed by two ’S’ iron supporters. It is a rectangular unpainted dial plate with a circular dial. It shows 5am to 3pm in hours, using XII. The numerals are inside a chapter ring with hour lines drawn from gnomon root. The rod gnomon has a shallow ’S’ supporter.
