BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Gainsborough’s House (3), Sudbury

Cumbrian green slate dial plate. Shows 4am to 8pm in hours. Hour lines are confined to one ring. Only 6am, 9am, Noon, 3pm and 6pm are numbered. Uses XII; numerals read from outside the chapter ring. Mounted on square section Bath stone pedestal with deep triangular cut outs at the corners. Possibly temporary exhibit only.
