BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Gainsborough’s House (1), Sudbury

Millennium Dial. Five ring construction with two half ring supports. Meridian, horizon and equator rings are named. Gnomon without arrow styling. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Inscrs read: "To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour". "There is not enough darkness in the world to put out the light of one small candle". Eight compass points shown and named. EoT graph plaque. Mounted on breeze block and slab pedestal.
