BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Raveningham Hall (2), Raveningham

Horizontal sundial in rose garden. Motto reads: ’The Night Cometh’. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 10 mins. Numerals viewed from inside the Chapter Ring. Two patterned circles of rose leaf and zigzag style inside all time rings. Double ’S’ design of pierced gnomon appears to be an incorrect replacement - but it matches the noon gap. Mounted on hexagonal waisted stone pedestal with hexagonal capital on square slab base.
