BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This a north vertical dial over a side gate in the north wall, but is mounted in the south-facing side of the wall. A motto (indecipherable) is on scrollwork placed around a skull all mounted on top of the dial block. It shows 4-8am and 4-8 pm in hours in Arabic numerals. The dial face is spalling in the area around 6-8pm. Hour lines end at a small engraved circle around the position of the gnomon root though there is no sign of any support there - or the hole has been infilled. The remains of a gnomon are visible at the centre top.
