BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

A vertical direct dial with two dials superimposed on it. In ascending order of size, one is a Scratch type dial in brass using a nodus which protrudes from the main gnomon. A conventional Direct South dial in aluminium and, in copper, a dial which indicates LAT to a theoretical and thankfully unused, decimal hour scale where Noon is 5. The conventional dial shows 6am to 6pm in half hours. Half hours are specially marked.
