BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

Motto reads: "Il est plus tard que tu ne pense, Prend garde a toi, ton heure s’avance". Shows 6am to 5pm in 30 and 5 min marks. 6pm not visible. Uses XII & IIII. Split noon line for thin strip gnomon. Engraved ’Robt Wall Londini Anno Dom. 1676’, but probably a Pearson Page dial, possibly model 4235. Mounted on large square bronze plate. Four hole fixing to square capital of old (but spalling) fluted, tapered, cylindrical pedestal 1000h with square plinth.
