BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial House (1), Westmancote

Near the SE corner of the house is a cast brass horizontal sundial made by Ernest Bottomley. It carries the date 1991 and the dial is No 32 of a limited edition. It shows the hours 5am to 7pm in hours, the Arabic numerals being in relief on circular discs set round the perimeter of the main dial plate. Noon is marked by a large decorative S. The motto reads ’Sunshine & Shadow’ and an inscription reads ’Harrow Heritage Trust’. Also on the dial plate are 12 zodiac signs and pictures, a picture of Harrow south of the gnomon, together with some feather decoration.
