Sts Mary & Bartholomew’s Churchyard., Hampton in Arden

To the South of the tower is this copper horizontal dial on the grave of A.E.Gordon Parry and his parents. It was put there in the 1930s and is inset into the top of an octagonal pedestal of unusual shape opening to a decorated bowl shaped octagonal top rather than a capital. It shows the hours IIII - VIII divided into halves, quarters and intervals of 7 1/2 minutes. It has an 8-point compass rose round the gnomon root and carries the motto "Tyme Flies". The gnomon is missing. The dial plate is 165mm in diameter.
