BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

On the Muniment Tower is a vertical dial which declines 10° west of south. It is cut into the stonework of the wall and painted in blue and gold on a white ground. It shows the hours VII - VI divided into halves and quarters by a black and white chequered border. Noon is marked by a cross. The date MM appears at the top and the initials WW (for William of Wykeham, the founder of the college) balance this at the bottom. The thin steel tube gnomon (4m long) is supported by four stays with decorative scrolls, braced by two stainless yacht cables. At the bottom can be seen a dedication to Prof. E T Hall and Mr W D Hall, the date 1999 and the maker’s name, Harriet James.
