BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Nicholas Church., Norton Canon

Somewhat shaded by the eaves of the porch is a stone vertical South dial canted East so as to achieve due South orientation. It shows the hours VI - VI (using XII and IIII) divided into halves and quarters. Across the top is the inscription Mr JW 1763. The dial is about 380mm square. The gnomon has an odd hooked decoration where the supporter joins it.
