BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bramble Cottage, Bisley

The dial is under the eaves and was last painted in 1996. The gnomon is positioned too far down, with the substyle root on the semicircle rather than at its centre. It is painted and has a gilded sunburst design in its upper angle. Black lines and numerals on white ground, showing 8am to 6pm BST in hours (using XII & IV) with the horizon line not numbered. The dialplate is galvanised steel. House declines slightly west but this is not accommodated.
