BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dorset

The dial is fixed to a south facing wall, and hands underneath apparently support it. It shows 6am to 6pm in half hours and has a short gnomon. There is a gilded eight point sunburst and short half hour lines around it are also gilded.The inscription reads: "Cityman with time on his hands" (a pun on an e-mail address). Year is marked as ’MM’ on two lugs.
