BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lincolnshire

This unusual stained glass dial spans four panels in the south window of the main hall, and has its centre obscured by the thick frames. A laurel wreath encloses a shield shaped dial, and the motto across the foot reads: ’Tempus Fugit’. The gnomon is mounted outside and appears to indicate an East decliner though the time scale doesn’t show that. It shows 6am to 5pm in half hours, and strangely 6pm is not numbered. The house was built for Arthur Newsome in 1907.
