BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is to the west of the Visitor Centre. The motto reads: "I only tell the Sunny Hours". Inscr is dedication to GMG & NTS for year 2000. Called the Threave Sunclock. Shows in two arcs 7am to 8pm in hours in summer (BST) and 7am to 6pm in winter (GMT). Dial includes longitude correction. Dial area edged in box with herbs (different Thymus varieties) planted at the corners. Open to public under usual NTfS hours.
