BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sheephouse, Painswick

In the NE garden. Inscr reads: "Equation Table giving difference of time between solar and clock time". Dialplate includes twelve monthly tables of EoT (post 1752); Jan -Jun on left of gnomon rest on right. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30,15,and 5 mins. Uses IIII and XII. Split noon line. Mounted on large square section baluster pedestal in Cotswold stone having a square capital and plinth. Open on Garden open days under the Red Cross Scheme.
