BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

War Memorial, Hallaton

The dial is in the village centre. The motto reads: ’Vox Luminis Umbra’. It is a white stone dial inset into base of octagonal memorial with gnomon resting on the seat of a substantial circular plinth under the whole structure. Very thick (30mm?) metal gnomon. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. Uses IV for 4pm. No noon numeral.
