BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Galloway House, Garlieston by Newton Stewart

The dial is on the front lawm, mounted on an unusual bowl (tulip) shaped pedestal with a square base set on top of short square column - overall about 1000 high. The modern gnomon is of bent rod and the angle appears shallow. However the projected style does pass through the horizon line. Faint engraving. Shows 4am to 8pm in half hours. Six hole fixing.
