BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Berkhamsted School, Berkhamsted

Motto reads: ’Time & Tide Wait for No Man’. Initials AHA and dates 1953 1990 all inscribed but not filled into grey stone slab. Gilded half sun at gnomon root. Numerals and lines infilled in blue. Shows 9am to 8pm (BST) in half hours. 1pm marked with a gold sun ray. Cylindrical rod gnomon has dual supports. No split sub style. Dial visible from gate onto Castle Street. Set on brick wall.
