St Bartholomew’s Church., Ashperton

On the gable of the South transept is an irregular sandstone slab fixed to the wall by five clamps. There are no markings to be seen on the eroded slab today though the iron gnomon with its S-shaped supporter has survived well. It measures about 750mm square.
