BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

A modern dial with Arabic numbers to the south-east of the churchyard. The motto reads: "Let others tell of storms and showers I’ll only count your sunny hours". The dial has a spurious date of 1767, a sunface in the centre, and no split noon. It shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 minute marks. Dial in memory of Ivy Hilda Jones d 1986. "Friend of all / In thanksgiving from the people of ***" is inscribed on the capital around the dial. Mounted on a square section tapered shaft set on a circular base on a 3-step circular stone plinth. [The original dial on this plinth was labelled ’Wm Jared fecit 1759’ but was stolen in 1985.]
