BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The dial is 10m south of Church. The plate is pitted and has blow holes. Lat stated. Split noon, Shows 4am to 8pm in 5, 15 and 30 mins. Diamond half hour marks and 5 and 15 min marks outside the chapters. Mounted on a cast iron tapered & fluted circular pillar 1290h with bowl-like base and acanthus leaves over a pierced base. Stands (now) on old millstone 1150 diam. The dial has been moved slightly in recent times. Reporters differed over whether the dial is brass or copper.
