BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
A floral dial, laid out on slightly sloping ground 50 yards West of the church. It has three concentric stone circles laid with numeral markers having short hour lines at outer edge. No split Noon. Ornamented gnomon with three twisted spheres along its length. Gnomon supporter in the form of ’MM’. Pathway to centre forms a ’2’ which with the three stone circles also gives the year. Shows 7am to 6pm in hours. Gnomon wrongly positioned in 2000 and shadow does not reach the hour scale in March. Plaque commemorates the Millennium.
