BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bedfield Hall, Bedfield

The dial is in the formal garden at the front. It is painted black with a gold hour ring and an arrow gnomon. There are no markings of any kind, but recent painting may have obliterated any. It is mounted on four curved iron legs on a square section low stone baluster pedestal (700h) with 500 square capital and plinth - designed to take a square horizontal dial. The gardens are sometimes open under the NGS.
