Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is carved into the stonework of the chimney stack, about 20 ft up. It declines S 40 degrees E, with black engraved lines and numerals on stone ground. An inner semicircle has lines across it to the gnomon root, coincident with some hour lines and decorated with lozenges. The hour lines are drawn to an outer semicircle with half hours marked by arrow heads pointing inwards, showing 5am to 3pm in half and quarter hours. The hour numerals are separated by dots. The p.m. Numerals do not coincide with the hour lines.
