BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John the Baptist’s Church., Upton Bishop

High on the porch and canted West to achieve due South orientation is a slate vertical South dial which is spalling badly. In the arched top is a decorative sunburst. It shows the hours 6am to 6pm undivided. Only the numerals 7, 9, 11, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 are still visible. The dial is about 400mm square. The sheet iron gnomon is rusted and the middle of the style bent sideways.
