Dial in Gwynedd Area

The dial is located in the quadrangle. It has Welsh & English markings. There is an EoT in the form of a graph, which incorporates the longitude correction, and above it is inscribed ’Connoisseur / Sun Dials / © Lat 52° 30’ N ’. The dial shows 5am to 7pm in 30, 15, 10 and 5 min intervals. It is mounted on a white, square section, stone block pedestal with inscriptions: E: "Hed Amser" & "Dom Gulielm-/Vsh Preece/Dono Dedit"; N: "Meddi Na!"; W: "Erys Amser" & "Veritas Temporis Filia"; S: "Dyn A". The Welsh translates as "Time goes / you say - no! / Time stays / Man goes". In the centre is a 16-point compass rose labelled to NNE etc. The dial may be incorrectly aligned with meridian. The dial was reported to be missing in 2022.
