BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Doverhay Place Guest House (2), Porlock

The dial is in a wooden frame, at first floor level, above and to the left of the front door, and is canted west to face south. It carries the date 1898/9, and is inscribed ’Sol lucet caritas extendit omnibus’ (The sun is shining, love spreads out to all). Note by 2021 the property had changed hands and may now be Private.
