BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Alleyne’s Grammar School, Uttoxeter

On low brick pillar. Declines 64 deg. East. Motto (in Greek) reads: "Time is swift". An earlier (now absent) second Greek motto read: "The days that remain are the surest witnesses". Dial sited at ground level. Shows 4am to 2pm in hours. No hour line for 2pm. IIII for 4am and XII for Noon. Declination lines for equinoxes and solstices though no obvious nodus. Gnomon probably a replacement. Zodiac signs, marks 23 deg 30min. Eden & Lloyd say it was originally on the 1568 school house but moved in 1859. Since then it has been moved to the gardens.
