BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (ER)

In churchyard. Dialplate corroded, maker’s name now identified, evidence of previous gnomon replacement. Four rings: 1. Names of 16 compass points, 2. Names of months, 3. EoT graduations, 4. Watch Fast/Slow. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10 & 5 mins. Corroded (and now broken) circular bulbous pedestal 1400h with octagonal capital and plinth set on circular base. Meridian line incised into top of capital outside the dial area.
