BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Furniture is concentric to centre of plate and origin of vertical style. 8pt Comp, Azimuth circle uses the vertical style. Hour circle 6 to 6 (polar gn), Sunrise and sunset circles, EoT ring - pre 1752 - (1,10,20 of ea month + daily ticks), Clock before/after sun, C/Arms, Maker, Main Hour and minute rings. Shows 5am to 8pm in 1min marks. 15mm thick gnomon, angle is 52 deg 30m, Lines relate to 52 deg 12m. Noon gap. Ogee edge to plate. Stands on white, stone, bulbous banded pedestal 1400h on square plinth 100h. Square apophyge supports circular capital 600 diam.
