BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial House, Scampton

The dial is fitted to the left hand side of a first floor window on the front of the house. The house was renamed in 1970 from (?)Rose Mount after installation of the dial which was made to the present owner’s request. Shows 7am to 7pm in Roman numerals using XII and IIII, and divided to half hours. The dial declines 10 deg west, and the design latitude is shown at the top(N 53 18). Square section rod gnomon with a ’C’ shaped support, and a smiling sun face around the root.
