BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, High Ercall

A horizontal dial inside the church Nave. The motto reads: "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi" and the inscription "Thomas Spenlove Sen & George Colley Wardens" Thos Ward fecit 1718. Three inner rings show the time at Jerusalem, Rome and Plymouth (New England). The main dial shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 3 min intervals. Set on rough partly dressed stone block. Restoration by Mr Redwood.
