BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Lincoln College, Oxford

On the north wall of the Chapel Quadrangle is a bronze vertical dial declining east and showing the hours 6am to 4pm divided into halves. In the top left hand corner are the college’s arms. It is a war memorial dial and bears the inscription ’Erected by the Junior Common Room in memory of the fallen 1939 - 1945’ across the top. Below the dial is the motto ’At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.’ All the dial furniture is in relief and the dial plate is surrounded by a frame.
