BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

An inscription reads: ’In Memory of David Christopher George, 1925-1991, faithful servant of Cound Church for over 30 years’ The design latitude is given as N5322. The dial is very neatly engraved but has inaccuracies, and is probably a late imitation of an older dial. The Watch Faster/Slower EoT scale has dates but few correction numbers and the boundaries between faster and slower reflect the period before the calendar change in 1752. Shows 4am to 8pm in 60, 30, 15, 7.5 and 2 min marks, with a divided noon, and IIII for 4am and 4pm. The dial stands on a circular stone baluster pedestal on three older circular steps - possibly market cross steps.
