BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial is in the sunken garden, on the south side of the Hall. There is an inscription on the pedestal to Robert Darby who laid out the garden at the age of 80 in 1909 - 11. Times not recorded. No hour lines. Moss encrusted in 1999.
